This years current 7th and 8th graders are shattering the previous standards for young athletes training. The large turnout from this age group is one thing, but the ability they display as well as the dedication to training is really amazing. If I name individuals I would clearly miss some names, but some of the early lifters like Sam Trapuzzano, Garrett Briant, Ty Denman, have led to many, many, more now with our current middle school lifting number over fifty. Leadership is demonstrated not announced and clearly these young student athletes have demonstrated what it will take to be a great student athlete. Keep your focus, as your careers are much closer to a marathon than they are to a sprint.
