Another chapter in the Ed Dalton saga.
One month after firing him, Trinity High School rehired Dalton as football coach, pending some certain issues can be resolved. Dalton has a suit pending against the district for opening up his job as athletic director/coach. They opened his AD position last year.
At least the school board wised up and brought him back as football coach because this program was absolutely horrible before Dalton took over 12 seasons ago. He has guided the Hillers to the playoffs six years in a row. Only a handful of Class AAA teams have done that.
Dalton said that a Washington County judge just today ruled his suit against the district will go to trial. But ...
"The board voted to rehire me, 6-3," Dalton said. "The board wants to negotiate some of these outside things that are pending, and I'm more than willing to do that."
