Central Valley 27, Trinity 7

Central Valley broke open a tie game with 20 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to defeat Trinity, 27-7, in a non-conference game.

Paul Polumbo, Tre Cumpton and Justin Shaw all scored on short touchdown runs for Central Valley (3-1) to break open a close game.

Patrick Frey had given the Hillers (2-2) a 7-0 lead early in the second quarter on a two-yard touchdown run. But Robert Foster tied the game on a 24-yard touchdown pass from Curtis Lewis, who had 116 yards passing despite three interceptions, with 4:06 left in the half.

The Hillers managed just 113 total yards, including 60 yards rushing on just five carries by Tyler Yocca.
