Lady Cats Lead Wire-to-Wire in 73-61 Win Over Ohio Wesleyan 
     11/28/09... (Box Score)  Andrea Dalton's (Washington, Pa.) 14 points and six rebounds led five Lady Cats who scored in double-figures in Saturday's 73-61 victory over visiting Ohio Wesleyan University in the Sports Center.  Pitt-Johnstown, which never trailed in the the game, improved to 2-3.
     The Lady Cats climbed out to a 19-10 lead on Dalton's  three-pointer eight minutes into the game, before Ohio Wesleyan's Tyler Cordell scored the next five points to cut the lead to 19-15.  Pitt-Johnstown responded with a 9-0 over the next 3:05 to push it out to 28-15 on Dalton's lay-up.   The Lady Cats continued to dominate and opened-up their largest lead of the first half at 38-22 on Qiuana Brown's (Monroeville, Pa.) lay-up with :01 remaining.
     It was more of the same in the second half.  Dalton's second three-pointer of the afternoon gave Pitt-Johnstown its largest lead of the game at 57-28 with 11:25 to play.  Pitt-Johnstown maintained at least a 20-point lead until the 3:44 mark when Elyse Wenger hit a three-pointer for the Battling Bishops to make it 6950.  Ohio Wesleyan never got the deficit under 10 points, as the Lady Cats cruised to the 12-point win.
     Dalton's 14 points on 6-11 shooting and six rebounds paced Pitt-Johnstown.  Kelly Goode (Pleasant Plain, OH) scored 11 points, including three three-pointers, off the bench, while Sheena Aden (Sandy Lake, Pa.), Monae Baker (Bushkill, Pa.) and Brown all scored 10 points apiece.  Brown also pulled down five rebounds, dished out six assists and blocked two shots, while Katie McBroom (Derry, Pa.) had five rebounds, and Maria Montini (Irwin, Pa.), Goode and Baker all collected four rebounds.
     The Lady Cats, who shot 48.3% from the floor for the game, out-rebounded the Battling Bishops 40-28.
     Cordell's game-high 17 points and six rebounds led the way for Ohio Wesleyan.  Dany Finck chipped in 10 points and five rebounds, and Pam Quigney and Kayla Gordon had eight points each for the Battling Bishops, who slipped to 3-1.
     The Lady Cats will host a WVIAC doubleheader with the Mountain Cat men's team against West Liberty (WV) University on Tuesday, starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Sports Center, before traveling to Slippery Rock University for a non-conference game on December 8.
