A tribute to Mark Faldowski

Posted Sunday, December 07, 2008 by Ed Dalton

I think in the 20 years I have been a head coach I have never been prouder of a person who I have had the privledge to coach.  Mark played his final game yesterday against Navy, and  will graduate from West Point this May and receive a coveted appointment in his field and be stationed in Hawai.  He is a three time letterman for the Division I Cadets, but his drive to succeed is unmatched in any athete I have ever coached,  he simply would not take he can't, or he shouldn't, or he won't, as a phrase he would listen to or dwell on to deter him from his goals for himself.  I called this season after the Belle Vernon loss, after listening to him talk I was motivated to return to practice and turn the season around and make the playoffs.  Mark I think referring to Army at that time told me they looked at it that they made their own mess and they had to fix it.  Well Mark,we used that to motivate us the rest of the season!  So from all of us in the Trinity Football Program congratulations for what you have accomplished and thanks in advance for what you will do in the future for our country.  One day when you are President or Senator Faldowski you can reflect back on everything with great pride.  Great Job Mark!!
