HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Trinity knocks off unbeaten EF

A strong road effort gave Trinity its first win in the Big Seven Conference, handing Elizabeth Forward its first loss of the season, 28-17, Friday night in a high school football game.
Dan Miller rushed for 137 yards and scored two touchdowns, both from one yard out, for the Hillers (1-1, 2-2). Quarterback Andrew Steratore and Alex Frey connected for two scores, covering seven and 17 yards. Frey finished with three receptions for 42 yards.
Frey's first touchdown reception gave the Hillers a 21-17 lead just before halftime. Cameron Dixon and Josh Pomilio rushed for touchdowns around a Jeff Hoak 29-yard field goal for the Warriors (1-1, 3-1).
Dixon rushed for 98 yards on six carries and EF quarterback Corey Sevcik threw for 131 yards.
Chartiers Valley 38, West Mifflin 0: Jim Riley scored two touchdowns and Chartiers Valley rolled up 483 total yards in a 38-0 victory over West Mifflin in a Big Seven Conference game.
Santino Coury, Sean Lapcovic and Robert Larimer each scored a touchdown for the Colts (2-0, 3-1). Riley rushed for 265 yards on 17 carries and Coury had 92 on 12.
West Mifflin fell to 1-3, 0-2 in the section.
