Our deepest sympathy is extended to Coach Guy Montecalvo, his wife Susan, and their two daughters on the passing of their son and brother Jim Montecalvo. I did not know Jim in any other capacity other than that of a sports writer for the Observer-Reporter. But I did know of his lifelong struggles with health issues, but the thing I will remember in my dealings with Jim will be his great attitude. If you did not know Jim had health issues you could not have detected it in talking with him. He was caring, professional, and was great to deal with as a coach in defeat or in victory. His presence in our area in athletics will be missed, but most of all his presence in our community as a person will be missed by all who knew him.
To his family our deepest sympathy, from the Trinity Football Coaching Staff, Players, and Football Boosters.
