TRINITY FOOTBALL HAS LOST A GOOD FREIND RAY HOWARD

Posted Thursday, November 15, 2007 by Ed Dalton

When I heard that Ray Howard passed away last evening my first thoughts were for his wife, Carol Howard, his son Coach Don Howard, and his grandson former standout player Ben Howard. My deepest sympathy is extended to them and their entire family on their loss of a great man. I then thought about how much I will miss Ray Howard for his honesty, his enthusiasm, and in general for his freindship, that he and I developed over the 8 years I had known him. He was a person I trusted and respected very much and valued his opinion about people as much as anyone I have been associated with in this community. Mr. Howard cared deeply about people and even more deeply about young people who were involved in athletics. His impact on our program was signifigant, his impact on our football players will not end today, but will live on in his memory. We will all miss Mr. Howard and it won't be the same without him at practice and at Trinity events. Our heartfelt blessing goes out to Coach Howard, Ben, and Carol, along with his entire family. We will all miss Ray very much!!
