We attended the two day passing camp both Friday and Saturday at the University of Pittsburgh/Steelers South Side Training complex. On Friday the Varsity did not play very well in the round robin game format, did not show much consistency, and really did not play with alot of discipline or great effort. Everything would change though on Saturday defeating everyone we would face with the exception of Pittsurgh Central Catholic. A very strong defensive effort was turned in on Saturday as the Hillers advanced to the semi-finals only to be defeated by PCC a second time.

Friday also a marked a first for us at Pitt as our linemen went and participated in the linemen challenge on Friday. The Hiller linemen finished 6th overall and if was not for a freak weight sled tipping over would have advanced to the linemen challenge finals in our first year at the event. The eight Hiller linemen who participated were Ed Gray, Taylor Deep, Will Marth, Nate Lojek, Dave Burnsworth, Buck Gnagey, Aaron Matusky and John Murphy.
