If you asked me to name the most dedicated weightroom athlete I have ever coached, it would be hard to name just one athlete. I can though however guarantee you that Dave Burnsworth's name would clearly be on a short list. Dave began training in eighth grade, and he has probably packed on over 40 pounds of muscle since that time. At 5'10-215 Dave can bench press almost 300 pounds and squat almost 500 pounds, add to that a 4.9 forty and a 4.5 pro shuttle, physically Dave has all the tools. It is because of his constant dedication and work habits, that Dave Burnsworth is this weeks Athlete of the Week in the Trinity Football Program. Dave is a returning starter for the Hillers on the defensive line and much is expected from Dave this year both on and off the field.
